Position Summary
Provides various accounting functions which assist management in timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements, and provides financial services and advice to a broad client area. Enforce site policies and procedures to promote an effective control environment and work closely with department managers to ensure their understanding of these requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly close of AM general ledgers to obtain timely and accurate financial reporting, in accordance with divisional reporting requirements
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts complete with supporting documentation
  • Verify that monthly departmental expenses, payroll & HR information is accurate
  • Responsible for Plan/Update, LRP and LBE for various departments
  • Assist management with special projects and analysis

  • Understands and applies complex concepts, facilitates interpretation and understanding of data
  • Identifies risks and proposes recommendations and solutions to issues
  • Implements solutions for problem resolution
  • Communicates and shares information with department
  • Listens to finance staff regarding more appropriate processes and is adaptable to change

Education:
Bachelor’s degree with concentration in accounting or finance

Experience/Skills:

  • Position requires 3-5 years of finance experience to include roles of increasing responsibility in accounting and/or finance
  • Demonstrated ability to provide data and analysis to support decision making, methodical approach to problem solving and rational ideas supporting them, ability to keep learning and to teach others, traditional accounting knowledge and facilitator of management needs, streamlining functions within the department and an efficient work ethic
